A marine transportation company hit the aid to navigation on Belle Rock in Rosario Strait. Neptune Marine was hired to remove the rubble of the old tower and build a new tower. Neptune Marine utilized a 98′ landing craft and an excavator to remove over 60 ton of old concrete from the rock. Next, we placed a 10′ diameter by 16′ tall steel casing on the rock and secured it with anchors. Neptune Marine then added reinforcement to the interior of the casing and pumped over 50 yards of concrete into it. The footing was then fit with steel tower which will accomidate the lighting and panels to aid vessels in navagation around the rock.
